William H. Halliday, tlje father of Mrs. Edward Crozier, died at his residence on Brook side on the evening of July 4, after an illness of about a year. Mr. Halliday was a resident of this village for about 23 years, and a communicant of St. Andrew's church. He was a kind father, a good neighbor, and a devout Christian. During the last few months of his illness lie was nursed most faithfully by his daughter, who made her home with him. He
was a very well read man, and his familiarity with the Bible was remarkable, One great comfort to him during his last sickness was the fact that he could repeat from memory no end of verses of the Psalms in metre. That for which he had prayed, and for which he had long waited with Christian patience-for his patience in the midst of his sufferings was extraordinary- has come to him at last-rest in the Paradise of God. Prayers will be said at the house on Friday at 2 p. m. The funeral service will be held at St. Andrew's church at 2.30. The coffin will not be opened at the church. Those who wish to look at the body can do so by calling at the house any time before 2 p. m. on Friday.
