          Second Officer Carlotta L. Crosier, daughter of George Crosier, Clinton Street, is one of the officers in charge of the First WAC Separate Battalion, now on duty in England. This is the largest detachment of WACS yet transported from the United States to service over seas. These mambers of the WACS have been assigned to clerical, driving and comunications job with the Eight Air Force in the European Theatre of Operations. Second Officer Crosier attended Ithaca College in Ithaca, and prior to enrollment in the Women's Army Corps, was physical education instructor .

          WESTFIELD-William F. Crozier, 76, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to the late Herbert and Eleanor (Omen) Crozier. Bill worked for many years as a machinist for Savage Arms in Westfield and was a member of the Westfield Eagles, the American Legion in Chicopee and the Parent Advisory Committee at Baystate Medical Center. He was predeceased by two daughters, Tammy Crozier and Laurie Price, his sister Peggy Crozier, his brothers, David and Herbert Crozier and his grandson Trevor Campbell. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Carol A. (Smith) Crozier of Chicopee, his daughters, Michele Conlin and her husband Ted of Grafton and Dawn Holland of Springfield, 5 grandchildren, Patrick Conlin, Shane Conlin, John Holland, Jr., Dawn Holland and D.J. Holland. A funeral home service will be held on Wednesday, January 21 at noon at Firtion Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield followed by burial with Military Honors in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Main St. Agawam. There were no visiting hours. Donations in Bill’s name may be directed to the Shriner’s Hospital, 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA 01104.

          WESTFIELD - Laurie A. (Crozier ) Price, 47, of Westfield died Saturday at home. She was born in Westfield daughter of William and Carol (Smith ) Crozier and was a 1985 graduate of Easthampton High School. Laurie was employed as a machine operator at Westfield Grinding Wheel for several years.
          She is survived by her parents, William and Carol Crozier and a son, Trevor Campbell all of Chicopee; a sister, Michelle Conlin and her husband Edward of Grafton; two nephews, Patrick and Shane Conlin, and her caregiver, David Geline and his parents, Sue and Dan Geline. She was predeceased by her sister, Tammy Marie Crozier in 1970.
          A memorial service will be held at Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street, Westfield on Friday December 20th at 1:00 p.m. A calling hour will precede the service from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.

          Robert J. Ormond, 82, of 25 Tower Road, Shelburne died Thursday, Nov. 10, at home.
          He was born in Greenfield, January 22, 1934, the son of Leslie and Hazel (Davenport) Ormond.
          He grew up in Shelburne Falls and for a short time lived in Tiverton, RI.
          He was a 1952 graduate of Arms Academy. Bob served in the Massachusetts National Guard Infantry Unit training in Fort Devens, NY.
          Bob was a self-employed businessman starting off with his father, Leslie, with Ormond's Garage in Buckland, and
          Ormond, Whipple, and Ormond Blasting. He then started his own businesses of Robert J. Ormond Chain Saw Sales and Service and Robert J. Ormond Excavating. Bob enjoyed every customer that came to do business with him ensuring that safety and operation was of the most importance. He enjoyed the friendships and loyalty of all of his many customers throughout the years.
          He was superintendent for the Town of Shelburne Highway Department for several years and also a former town selectman.
          Bob enjoyed all his family, especially his holiday dinners where all cooked to please ""Dad"". He loved the outdoors-hunting, fishing, watching year round his bird feeders and tending and taking great pride in his flower gardens and inside plants and, travelling to Maine to get his fresh lobster and fried clams at Bob's Clam Shack in Kittery, Maine.
          His wife the former Shirley Hall predeceased him in 2007.
          Survivors include his daughters Debi (Rick) Cadran of Greenfield, Sally (Michael) Clark of Hinsdale, NH; his son Rick (Phyllis) Ormond of Shelburne; grandchildren Kate (Digger) Cadran Neipp of Leyden, Mark (Terra) Cadran of Greenfield, Brett Ormond and girlfriend Amy Harrington of Williamstown and Jack Clark of Hinsdale, NH.
          He also leaves two great-grandchildren Kacie Cadran and Brody Neipp; his loving companion of several years Marian Woodsome of Buckland; and sister Dorothy (John) Woodsome of Granby, CT. His sister Betty Broadhurst predeceased him in 2006.
          Memorial services will be held Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Shelburne First Congregational Church at 11:00 am.
          Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
          Calling hours will be Wednesday evening Nov 16 from 6-8 at Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home in Shelburne Falls.
          It is suggested donations be made to the First Congregational Church, 22 Church Commons, Shelburne, MA. 01370.

He was born, raised and lived his entire life in East Greenbush, graduated from Columbia High School in 1959, and was a member of the Columbia All Sports Hall of Fame. He worked for NYS Comptroller's office, retiring in 2003 after 20 years of service and was manager for 11 years of Bowling Green Lanes in East Greenbush. "Huck" was a social member of East Greenbush Fire Co., coached Pop Warner Football, "Huck" loved to bowl at Del Lanes and Bowling Green and spent many summers at Deer Run Campground, and loved to drive. Predeceased by his parents, Andrew and Clarissa (Foster) Blair; his siblings, Robert, Donald, James, Andy Blair, Betty Brorup, Margaret Elliott, Jake Blair, and baby Ernest "Sonny", and father-in-law, Herbert Farley. Ralph is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lynne (Farley) Blair of East Greenbush; his children, Kim (Mark) Strosahl, April (Dan) Speed and Amy (Darek Polcare) Blair; his mother-in-law, Eleanor Farley; and siblings, John Blair, Jane (Bill) Bemiss and George (Joyce) Blair. Also survived by his grandchildren, Katrina Blair, Cory Luzinski, Jeremy Luzinski, Logan Speed and Derek Strosahl; brothers-in-law, James (Carol) Farley and Terrence Farley; and many many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral 11:00 a.m. Saturday from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer, N.Y. Friends may call in the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Spring interment will be in New Rural Cemetery, East Greenbush. Mr. Blair was a long standing member of the United Transportation Union Local 212, a life member and past assistant chief of the Nassau Fire Department. Donald also loved to play golf and enjoyed camping. Survivors in addition to his wife June include two sons, David (Regina) Blair of Nassau and Daniel (Debra) Blair of Schodack; two daughters, Donna (Thomas) Bolani of Nassau and Dale (Michael) Baldwin of Pattersonville; four brothers, Robert Blair Sr. of Nassau, John Blair of Castleton, Ralph Huck Blair of Rensselaer and George Blair of Nassau; two sisters, Margaret Elliott of Sand Lake and Jane Bemiss of East Chatham; ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Blair was the brother of the late James, Andrew and Harold Blair and Betty Brorup. Funeral Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at the Thomas P. Mooney Funeral Home, 11 Elm St., Nassau.
