          A Gift, A Soulmate, A Best Friend
FAIRFIELD - Dear family & friends,
It is with deep sorrow that we announce our beloved mother's passing on August 14, 2014. At the time of her death, she was embraced within a circle of love with her children, grandchildren and Pastor David Gant. With faith in her heart and comforting love for her family, she passed on with grace and serenity. Each of us was able to express our love to her and thank her for being a wonderful Mom and Nannie, and she in turn was able to comfort and love us.
Mom was the youngest of 5 children of Prescott G. and Hazel A. (Robinson) Wood. She was born in Waterville on November 23, 1937, and grew up on her parents' dairy farm in "the Center."
It was in "the Center" at a Grange hall dance that she met the love of her life, Charles L. Fales Jr., and shared the next 61 years with him. The early years of their marriage were spent traveling and following Dad's career as a startup engineer. They spent time in various states including California, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and New England, returning to their home town of Fairfield in the early 1970s.
As the mother of six children, she was involved in all of their activities and interests in addition to her own community service and her commitments to SAD 49 as a board member, PAL, booster club & meals on wheels.
After her passing, we gathered together and through tears & laughter we shared our thoughts and remembrances of Mom. First & foremost, she deeply loved her children, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Her world revolved around them and she shared in all their activities, their joys, their successes and also their disappointments. She had such wisdom along with a keen sense of humor & her caring, sensitive nature gave her a way of making people feel special & welcome at her door.
Mom loved music, and Elvis was her favorite. She also loved country fairs, reading, bingo, cribbage, movie dates with Woodsie & watching/attending sports events with Dad. She occasionally played the slots & enjoyed her visits to Foxwoods & Las Vegas.
Mom was a fabulous cook. It was such a comfort to walk into her kitchen and be met with freshly baked cookies or pies cooling on the counter or yeast rolls rising. On the stove might be chop suey, pot roast or finnan haddie. Any of us coming through the door usually went straight to her stove. She enjoyed reading recipes and watching Ina the "Barefoot Contessa" cooking shows.
Mom especially loved Christmastime with gift giving & spoiling her children and grandchildren. She was spiritual and loved to celebrate the birth of baby Jesus.
She is survived by her loving husband & best friend of 61 years, Charles L. Fales Jr., of Fairfield & their pet cat Pretty Boy. Their children are Jeanne & Eric of Rockland, Charles III & wife Terry of Nantucket, Steven of Fairfield, Jennifer & Steve Welch of Farmingdale, Ted & wife Maria of Nantucket and Thad & Kathy of Fairfield. Their grandchildren are Sara Ima & great grand puppy Pickles, Cory & wife Kelli, Jessica & husband Tyson, Brooks & wife Kelli, Cassandra June & husband James, Teddy, Seth, Monica, Isabelle, Olivia, Megan, MaKayla & Hunter. Their great-granddaughters are Emma & Kayla. Her siblings are Mary Owens & Wolfe of Florida, Lila Julia & Arthur of Fairfield, Peter Wood & Joyce of Fairfield & her recently deceased sister Barbara Alley-Wade of Fairfield. Her sisters-in-law are Joanne Bickford of Benton and Betsy Eaton & Fred of Millinocket. Also, many loving nieces & nephews and close dear friends.
Mom's wish is for a private family gathering at Mount Kineo on Moosehead Lake.
Family & friends wishing to honor our Mom and Nannie may do so by donation to the memorial of Ima J. Fales at Maine Children's Home, Attn: Development, 93 Silver Street, Waterville, ME 04901. Donations are accepted online at www.mainechildrenhome.org
"We say not, in grief, that she has gone, but give thanks that she was ours."

From; www.thetelegramnews.com
Terry Lee Crosier, age 64, of Jackson, Ohio, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013. Terry was a man who loved life. He had a voice and a laugh that will never be forgotten. His style of living was to live life to the fullest and not to wait for tomorrow, because it was never promised. His little jokes and long, long drawn out stories were the best. If he told you something once, he would repeat it 20 more times. He will be greatly missed.
Terry is survived by his wife of almost 29 years, Patti. Also surviving him is his mother, Nola (Crabtree) Crosier, whom he always described as "the best mother ever". In addition he is survived by two sons, Brandon (Tina) Crosier, Lyle (Edna) Crosier; two step-children, Megan (Frank) Rapp, and James (Candice) Lucas; and 10 grandchildren, Andy, Benjamin, Makayla, Jerrit, Mary-Grace, Collin, Grant, Blake, Dakota, and Madyson. He was the best papaw ever.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wendell Crosier and a sister, Cheryl (Crosier) Wilson.
Terry was proud of having his private pilot license. He loved riding his motorcycle and his other passion was BBQing. He enjoyed smoking meat and putting on cooks. He loved his family time. Terry also liked to cook. Gravy was his specialty. His huge amounts of vegetable soup were legendary. Over the years he enjoyed his horses and mules. As a young man, he showed quarter horses and won many trophies. Terry was obsessed with his lawn. The amount of lime used was unbelievable. By the time he was done spreading lime, the entire lawn was white instead of green.
He loved his dogs, Coley and Sister-Dog. They are missing him.
He loved his grandchildren, and put no limitations on them. He saw his grandchildren as a chance for a better future. Another of his hobbies was fishing. When Terry did something, he went all out 100% full force; with pride. He liked going south for the winter and loved the warm weather. He really loved to travel. Anybody said "go" and he "went".
Other than family, his proudest accomplishment was the business he ran with Patti and Megan. Crosiers Convenient Mart is a name still remembered in Pike and Jackson County. Finally, to sum it up with a big smile; Terry Crosier loved life!
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home of Jackson, Ohio. Friends may call on Monday, October 28, 2013 from 12-2 p.m. Funeral will immediately follow at the funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor Harry Harrel officiating
