This information was obtained from the Ancestral File at LDS. The dates on Elizabeth Moore and John Moore don't make sense. Therefore, we haven't concluded that John Moore is really her father. Further research will be done.

She was baptised 18d 11m 1612 at Stanstead, Suffolkshire, England. Her maiden name is actually RICE but she was informally adopted by her step-father Philemon WHALE. Early research at NEHGS incorrectly showed Philemon WHALE as her father but her actual marriage record showed she used RICE as her surname before she married John MOORE.
The following biography of Elizabeth was added in 7m 2013 by Ken Smith (#46985536):
Elizabeth Rice was born in Stanstead, Suffolk, England, and baptised there on January 18, 1612. She was the daughter of Henry Rice and Elizabeth Frost. Henry died in 1621 and Elizabeth married Philemon Whale, which has caused some genealogists to claim that Elizabeth the younger was Whale's daughter. She married at Little Gaddesden, Hertford, on November 27, 1633, John Moore, a widower with young children. John and Elizabeth had four children born at Berkhamstead, Hertford. The last in January of 1641. That the family emigrated to New England about that time is proved by the fact that John Moore bought a home and land in Sudbury from Edmund Rice in September 1642.
Five more children were born to John and Elizabeth in Sudbury. John was a farmer, he called himself "Yeoman" in his will, written on August 25, 1668. In that will, he named his "loving and tender wife" Elizabeth, to be executrix. John had amassed quite a bit of land and the family was obviously prosperous. When John died in 1674, his estate was valued at over 800 Pounds, a large amount for those times. Elizabeth lived in Sudbury as a widow until her death on December 14,1690.
Information for this biography was gathered from the vital records of Sudbury, the research of John Threlfall, and articles in The American Genealogist, vol. 60, "Lydia Maynard, wife of Joseph Moore of Sudbury", The New England Historical and Biographical Record, vol. 57, "Some Descendants of John Moore of Sudbury" and New England Families by William R. Cutter

1948-2011
RoLayne Rigby Sterzer, age 62, loving wife, daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, passed away on Jan. 24, 2011, following a long and courageous fight with cancer.
Born Oct. 21, 1948 in Ogden UT to loving parents Theon and Norma Rigby, RoLayne was the second of five children, and certainly a standout. RoLayne grew up in Woods Cross and Bountiful, graduating from Bountiful High.
Pursuing her talents, RoLayne became a skilled beautician before marrying the love of her life, Mike, on April 17, 1973. In 1980, they moved with their son, Bret, to Vancouver, WA where they lived for the next 30 years. Throughout this time, she worked as an accountant for The Hub Group and Sleep Country where she (Ro Ro) made many new friends, but RoLayne always stayed in touch with her family and lifelong best friend Teresa. In fact, RoLayne knew more about what was going on with the family than the family did!
Introduced to Mrs. Cavanaugh’s by Mom, RoLayne loved no chocolate better and no visit from RoLayne was complete without brunch at Little America. In addition to watching every episode of Judge Judy, RoLayne loved to relax by reading.
But spending time with her family was her favorite thing to do and we all share many precious memories of trips with RoLayne along Washington and Oregon’s Highway 101.
When you needed advice, or a listening ear, RoLayne was the one you turned to - her warmth, humor, and love was a blessing to all who knew her. RoLayne had an innate sense of fairness that would make even Judge Judy proud!
RoLayne particularly adored her two grandsons, Aden (16) and Alex (2) and specifically held on over Christmas to give them a great last holiday together with her.
RoLayne is preceded in death by her husband, Michael Roy Sterzer and her Father, Theon. She is survived by her Son, Bret M. Sterzer (WA), Grandsons Aden (GA) and Alexander Sterzer (WA), Mother Norma Rigby, siblings Sandy (John) Siddoway, Debbie (Rick) Holt, David (Eni) Rigby, Lori (Mark) Knighton and honorary sister Teresa (Richard) Woodland and many nieces and nephews.
Good bye for now, but not forever. We love you.
