Lillian Valida (Pierce) Senecal, 99 of North Adams, MA died Tuesday August 8, 2017 at her home.
She was born in North Adams, MA on August 4, 1918, daughter of John and Valida (Tanguay) Pierce. She attended schools in Clarksburg and North Adams.
Lillian was employed by Sprague Electric Co. for many years and also operated the snack bar at Valley Park Bowling Lanes for 20 years until her retirement in 2002.
She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church and was a member of the Sprague Quarter Century Club. Lillian enjoyed trips to the casino and especially enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Lillian had wonderful caregivers especially Buffy Heideman who went above and beyond.
Survivors include one daughter- Jacqueline Felix and her husband, Robert of North Adams. She also leaves six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Her son, Ronald Battis died November 7, 2015 and her great grandson, Kyle Crosier died June 7, 2015. Her sister Ellen Reyome is deceased and her brother John Pierce died in World War II.

UFFOLK - Margaret Pittman Pursell Eggleston, 89, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk.
She was born in Ivor to the late Ernest W. and Mabel Gertrude Williams Pittman. Margaret was retired from the Bank of Sussex and Surry; a member of the Wakefield United Methodist Church and a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy. Mrs. Eggleston was predeceased by her husbands, D'Arcy Paul Pursell, Sr. and Robert E. "Pete" Eggleston.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosalyn Pursell Price of Christiansburg, Phyllis Pursell Fers; and a son, D'Arcy Paul Pursell Jr. both of Wakefield; four grandchildren, Karen S. Welch and husband, Hal, Adriane P. Sheppard, Donna S. Bassett and husband, Jay, Michael A. Price and wife, Theresa; five great-grandchildren, Jessica Knecht and Tanner Knecht, Virginia Bassett, James Sheppard and Emma Price; a sister, Gladys P. Beale; a sister-in-law, Frances Stamatas; and stepchildren, Michael T. Eggleston and wife, Helen of Wakefield, Patricia L. Allen of Big Arm, Montana, Robert "Bobby" Eggleston of Manteo, N.C., and Nancy Zych and husband, Ralph of Corrales, New Mexico and Andrew Eggleston and wife, Nancye Jo of Mount Juliet, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Wanda Ousaklidis, Michelle Bradford, Alex Eggleston, and Brian and Jeffrey Zych.
Funeral services will be held in the sanctuary of Wakefield United Methodist Church in Wakefield on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Willie Guill and the Rev. Edward Owen officiating. Interment will follow in the Wakefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 3 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.
Memorial donations may be made to the Wakefield United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 87, Wakefield, VA 23888 or to the Waverly Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 583, Waverly, VA 23890.
Arrangements are being handled by the Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wakefield.

She attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School where she was a baton twirler for the Drury Marching Band. Carolyn was last employed at Molly’s Bakery. Before that, she worked at Sprague Electric Co. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Carolyn enjoyed writing and had two stories published. She also enjoyed cross-word puzzles and genealogy. Survivors include two daughters- Denise Gibson of Lenox and Sheryl Gibson of North Adams Three sons- Stephen Gibson and Henry Gibson of Adams; and Allen Gibson of Waverly Hill, GA Twelve Grandchildren Eleven Great Grandchildren Two brothers- Raymond Aubin of North Adams; and Alfred Aubin of Malta, NY Four Sisters- Anita Lesure of Adams; Anne Mowe of Hoosac Tunnel; Jacqueline Dobbert of North Adams; and Jeanne Scrivens of Texas Nieces and nephews A daughter, Lorraine Poette is deceased and triplet grandchildren are also deceased including Allen, Noah, and Grace Gibson.
