Gmina (community) Czerwonka is a rural Gmina in Makow County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland, It's seat is the village of Czerwonka, which lies approximately 9 kilometres north-east of Makow Mazowieki and 77 Km north of Warsaw. website is www.czerwonka.pl Probably from the beginning of the Plock diocese (around 1075) documents and documents important for the Plock Church were collected and stored. The cathedral chapter dealt with this, keeping the first archives of the diocese in its treasury. Part of this collection was an extensive collection of valuable manuscripts (among them the Plock Bible and the Gospel of Anastasia from the 12th century, Gospel Pericopes, Gospel according to St. Mark). The first certain mention of the chapter archives dates back to 1398. During the reign of Sigismund I, a copy of the diplomas in the archive was made, and in 1594 the chapter ordered an inventory of resources. The Swedish occupation (1655-1656) affected the archive, as did all of Mazovia. |

Ray was found at home on 19 JAN, 2020 lying on the floor. The death certificate states date of death as Jan, 19, 2020 but actually it was 4 or 5 days earlier. The TV was still running, a space heater was on and a sandwich made. The rescue team stated it was probably a cardiac arrest. He was a best friend to me, Frank Pulaski. We met in the Navy on board the USS Searcher AGR-4. We married sisters and he relocated to western Mass after getting out of the Navy. Ray and Lucy had no children. Ray was an Advanced licensed Ham Radio operator. His call sign was N1AJI. He was not active on the ham radio in his later years. Ray played guitar and was in the band The Plainfield Stage (which he named). The band played in a lot of hot spots in western Massachusetts in the 60's and 70's. Ray's obituary in The Pittsfield, MA Berkshire Eagle Raymond Peter Fisher, 80, of Mallard Cove, Cheshire, died Sunday, January 19, 2020, at his home. Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania on November 3, 1939, the son of Robert, Sr., and Inez Busatto Fisher, he was educated in Butler, Pennsylvania schools and then Cleveland Institute of Electronics, and held a 1st class FCC license. He enlisted with the United States Navy on November 8, 1956, served as a Radio Operator aboard the U.S.S. Searcher, two and half years overseas, and was honorably discharged on October 17, 1960. Mr. Fisher spent his entire working career, beginning as a lineman, in cable television. His employment included Berkshire Cable TV, Cox Cable, and Mountain Cable, and from 1963 to 2000 was general manager of Adelphia Cable in North Adams. Ray was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church. He was the Prudential Committee Chairperson of the Hoosac Lake Recreation/Preservation District. He was a ham radio operator, and enjoyed bike riding and roller blading the Ashuwillticook Rail Trail, traveling, working out and music. His wife, the former Lucy A. Grygorcewicz, whom he married November 23, 1963, in Holy Family Church in Pittsfield, died September 26, 2013. Mr. Fisher is survived by a sister, Carol Vasas, of Berea, Ohio; two sister-in-laws, Irene Piekos of Cheshire and Mary Knappe of Canton, Connecticut; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Mark Fisher and Robert Fisher. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The funeral was on July 31, 2020 at St. Mary's catholic church in Cheshire, MA. His ashes were interned at the Cheshire Cemetery. I was in Florida on this date and couldn't head north because of medical issues. The eulogy I wrote was read by Father David.....as follows: It was in the fall of 1958. I had enlisted in the Navy and had gone to Class A school for electronics in Great Lakes, IL. After graduating I was assigned to sea duty on the Radar Picket ship USS Searcher AGR-4 moored at the piers at Davisville, RI. But the ship was in dry dock in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, NY undergoing overhauling. So I was sent to work at a Brooklyn Naval warehouse to await readiness of the ship After a few weeks a sailor drove up to the warehouse to pick me up and escort me to the USS Searcher which was now sea ready. With seabag on my shoulder and my guitar in my right hand I got into the car and was introduced to Seaman Ray Fisher. As fate would have it, this encounter changed both our lives forever. He was a Radioman on board the ship and I was the electronics technician that was going to be assigned to maintain the radio equipment that Ray and all the radiomen used for ships communication. Ray and I became very close. He was a good student learning how to play the guitar and it wasn’t long that we were playing music at the local pubs in East Providence. I got married to Donna in 1961 when I had a few months left to serve on the ship and Ray got out before me and went to live at my mom and dad’s house on Cheshire Rd, Pittsfield, MA. Ray was from Butler, PA and because he and I became such good friends, he decided to relocate to Pittsfield, MA where I was raised. Ray would marry Donna’s sister Lucy hence we became brother-in-laws. We would hang together, take vacations together and have a great life as friends. We formed a 4 piece band and Ray came up with the name, The "Plainfield Stage". We played over the next few years in many night clubs in Berkshire County and Plainfield County. We would play for weddings, family party’s and many outdoor events. Ray was very special to me and my three daughters Tina, Beth an Katie. I never thought Ray would check out before me. He was always going to the gym doing all the things necessary to stay healthy. As long as I am here I will always treasure all the good times we spent together. See you soon my friend.
