From: The Calgary Herald February 27, 2012 TRELEAVEN, Leonard James October 1, 1921 - February 22, 2012 Leonard Treleaven, beloved husband of Joyce Treleaven, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Care Centre, Calgary on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the age of 90 years. Len was born and raised in Eston, SK, later graduating from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Engineering. Joyce and Len were married in Brockville, ON in July 1943 after which Len served overseas in World War II with the Canadian Armed Forces, R.C.E.M.E. Following the war, Joyce and Len moved to Calgary where Len worked for the Alberta Wheat Pool for 39 years, retiring as Manager of Engineering, Construction and Maintenance. Len was a life member of A.P.E.G.G.A. and a long-time member of the Glencoe Club and Glencoe Golf and Country Club, where he was an avid bowler, curler and golfer. Joyce and Len spent many winters together in California where they enjoyed golfing with their friends. Len demonstrated the deepest sense of integrity, honesty and fairness to all who knew him. A loving family man, he will be sadly missed. In addition to his loving wife Joyce, Len is survived by daughters Joan (Doug) Biles, Donna (Michael) Crozier, son John (Anne) Treleaven; nine grandchildren Sandy (Pat) Twa, Leslie (Robert) Biles, John (Mary Lee) Biles, Barry Crozier, Kerry (Trevor) Crozier, Bryan (Ashley) Crozier, Stacy (Sean) Rivalin, Shawn Treleaven and Julie Treleaven, as well as four great-grandchildren, Abigail, Victoria, Emily and Adelaide. At Len's request, a family celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff of Chinook Care Centre for their kind assistance and compassion in Dad's final days. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com . From: Deerfield Valley News, Nov 12, 2015 ENGLEWOOD, FL- Frances Elizabeth Sprague, 87, formerly of Readsboro, VT, and currently residing in Englewood, died peacefully on Thursday, October 29, at the Englewood Community Hospital. Mrs. Sprague, daughter of Harold S. and Frankie Ella (Berard) Tower, was born on May 9, 1928, in North Adams, MA. She attended Readsboro Elementary School and Whitingham High School. On December 13, 1947, she married Randolph Comai, and together they had four children. After his death in 1965, she married Preston Sprague and welcomed his four children into her family. Together, she and Preston had two children. She was predeceased by Preston on January 2, 2015. Mrs. Sprague worked as a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of the Readsboro Community Club, the Legion Auxiliary, and the St. Joachim Parish in Reasboro. VT, Mrs. Sprague took pride in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and was a friend to many. She will be greatly missed. Mrs. Sprague is survived by her children, Michael and wife Jackie Comai, of Bennington, VT; Geraldine and husband Willis Smith, of Englewood; Melanie and husband Alan Edwards, of Englewood; Marcia and husband Rodney Bisson, of Salem, NY; Nicki Sprague and Mark Carlson, of Readsboro, VT; Dean and wife Deborah Sprague, of Bodoin, ME; Stephen and wife Maryanne Sprague, of Bath, ME; Marsha and husband Rodney Morgan, of Canada; Jody and husband Kenny Parsons, of Wilmington, VT; and Diedra and husband Scott Moore, of Wilmington, VT: grandchildren, Jennifer Lazelle, Jessica Bird, Randall Smith, Allison Labor, Ashley Leonard, Jeremy Lemaire, Corie Lee, Mackenzie Lee, Taylor Lafo, Kerri Hanscom, Tedd Sprague, Linda Beck, Adam Collins, B.J. Collins, Matthew Collins, Jason Parsons, Julie Sullivan, Jessie Carrier, Tyler Moore, Sara Pratt; 29 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held December 6, at 1 pm, at St. Joachim Church, Readsboro, VT, and burial will be held at the Readsboro Village Cemetery at a future date. She was born in Rowe, MA on August 13, 1921 a daughter to the late Fiore and Adelaide (Sartori) Furlon. She attended schools in Monroe Bridge and was a graduate of Drury High School. During WW II Pauline assisted in the war effort by working at the Deerfield Glassine Co. She was employed as a cook at the Whitcomb Summit for many years until her retirement in 1983. Pauline was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was a communicant of the former St. Francis Church. She loved to cook and bake and enjoyed time with her family and grandchildren. Pauline kept to her Trentino roots as anyone who tasted her polenta and gnocchi knew. She was the widow of Paul Russell Campbell. They were married on August 13, 1947. Mr. Campbell died August 27, 1984. Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Peirce and her husband Daniel of Drury, MA , a stepson, Ronald Lee Campbell of Enfield,CT. as well as two grandchildren, Daniel R. Peirce and his wife Kirsten of Agawam and Hillary Ayn Peirce of South Dakota. A great grandson Andrew Peirce and great nephews and great niece Shane Furlon, Bradley Furlon and Lisa Tanner and their families. She was predeceased by three brothers, Louis, William and Leslie Furlon. He then worked at Campbell Soup Company for eight years, Korshoj Lumber for seven years and Hormel for 30 years, retiring in 1994. Leonard married Helen (Christian) Crosier on May 8, 2004. Leonard was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus 1497, FOE 200, all in Fremont, and P.O.L.K. of A. Nebraska Chapter. Survivors include: his wife, Helen; sons, John Maly (Jillaine) of Chetek, Wis., Gary Maly (Marge) and Tim Maly (Valerie), all of Fremont; stepson, Joe Crosier (Jackie) of Beatrice; stepdaughters, Linda Dorn (Bob) and Chris Easter (Larry), all of Wymore, Shirley O'Donnell of Fremont and Sharon Crosier of Hastings; sister, Arlene Hines of Morse Bluff; 36 grandchildren and spouses; and 40 great-grandchildren. From: Heckart Funeral Home Floyd Edwin Forke was born to Walter and Christine Forke on March 23, 1929, and passed away on August 20, 2015. He was a former resident of Beatrice and Crab Orchard/Lewiston area where he farmed. He served in the Navy from 1947 to 1951. During his tour of duty he received three service medals, a national defense medal and an occupation medal for service in Japan. He also received the China service medal for service in China on the USS Piedmont. While in the Navy he learned pattern making skills which he used throughout his life. Floyd worked for Soil Conservation Service in Beatrice as a civil engineer. He married Beverly (Kadlec) Forke on May 5, 1950, until her death in 1980. He married Phyllis Joan (Jody) Petty Forke on April 4, 1981, until her death in 2005. He and Jody were active in Bits and Buggy Club. Floyd enjoyed restoring buggies, World War II jeeps and houses. He used buggies in many weddings. They were the owners and operators of the Carriage House Bed and Breakfast in Beatrice. In 1998, they retired to Warsaw, MO. Survivors include brother, Walden of Sioux City, IA; children, Jacquelyn (Joe Sr.) Crosier, Jennifer Robinson (Rob), all of Beatrice, NE, Jaye Petty (Nina), of Columbia, MO; grandchildren, Joe Crosier Jr. (Becky), Adam Robinson, Kaleb Robinson, of Beatrice, NE, and Erin Petty, of Columbia, MO; great-grandchildren, Jemma Crosier and Ziya Robinson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin brother, Loren; brother, Harold and his wife Bev; sister-in-law, Sheila Forke; son, Jamie Petty and wife Dana; granddaughter, Jemma Crosier; and many aunts and uncles. Service to be held at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln, MO, at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 5. In lieu of flowers, Floyd’s wish was to help veterans through the Wounded Warriors Project. |

On November 30, 1958, she was married to Franklin Petty, who died in January 1979. On April 4, 1981, in Beatrice, Nebraska, she married Floyd Edwin Forke, who survives of the home. Mrs. Forke was a cosmetologist and worked at Petersons Manufacturing and Pershing College for a number of years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Missouri. Mrs. Forke was a model in California. She and her husband owned a bed and breakfast in Beatrice, Nebraska, where several films were made, including O’Pioneer, Amerika, Unsolved Mysteries and a Japanese version of Unsolved Mysteries. She showed horse-and-buggies and received first place twice at the Nebraska State Fair. She was a member of the Bits and Buggies Club. Survivors include her husband, Floyd Forke, of the home; three daughters, Joyce Ticnor, of DeWitt, Neb., Jacquelyn Crosier, and her husband, Joe, of Beatrice, Neb., and Jenifer Robinson, and her husband, Rob, of Beatrice, Neb.; a son, Jaye Petty, and his wife, Theresa, of Columbia; a sister, Peggy Bone, of DeSoto; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jamie, and his wife, Dana Petty; and a granddaughter, Jemma Crosier. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Missouri, with the Rev. Leonard Poppy officiating. Funeral services will also be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Beatrice, Nebraska, with the Rev. Leonard Poppy officiating.. Pallbearers will be Joe Crosier, Sr., Terry Robison, Rob Robinson, Jaye Petty, Joe Crosier, Jr., Adam Robinson and Kaleb Robinson. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Beatrice MO.
