Dr. Cynthia Johnson MacKay and Warren Joseph Keegan were married yesterday. The Rev. Alfred Sunderwirth, a Presbyterian minister, officiated at the Cosmopolitan Club in New York.
The bride, 64, will continue to use her name professionally. She is an ophthalmologist in New York and a clinical professor of ophthalmology at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She graduated from Harvard and received her medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center.
She is a daughter of the late Helena E. Johnson and Francis E. Johnson Jr., who lived in Far Hills, N.J.
The bridegroom, 70, is a professor of marketing and international business at Pace University and a partner in Keegan & Company, a consulting firm in Rye, N.Y., that provides litigators with expert witnesses. He graduated from Kansas State University, from which he also received a master’s degree in economics. He has an M.B.A. and a doctorate in business administration from Harvard.
He is the son of the late Edla P. Keegan and Donald R. Keegan of Junction City, Kan.
The bride’s first marriage ended in divorce, as did the bridegroom’s previous three marriages.

KEEGAN--Warren Joseph, of Rye, NY, died peacefully at the age of 78 at Memorial Hospital on New Year's Eve. Warren, the son and grandson of farmers, grew up in Junction City, Kansas, the geographic center of the continental U.S. His father left school after the 8th grade, yet Warren earned four advanced degrees, two from Harvard (MBA 1961, doctorate 1967). He was Professor of International Business and Marketing at several universities, including Columbia and Pace. He has published more than 30 books. He founded a consulting firm, Keegan & Company, with his son Mark. Besides Mark, he is also survived by his wife Cynthia Johnson MacKay, his daughter Tracy, his sister Marian Fuller, stepchildren Rob MacKay and Hope MacKay Crosier, four grandchildren, and four step-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Donald. His joyful gentle spirit and his zest for life learning and adventure will be sorely missed

Charles E. Marsh, 89, of West Winfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2014, at the Mohawk Valley Health Care Center in Ilion. He was born on December 17, 1924, in Susquehanna, PA, a son of the late Charles W. and Helen (Whitney) Marsh. He was a graduate of Greene, NY, Central Schools and Harpur College in Binghamton, NY, where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Charles served his country with honor in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater as a Pharmacist's Mate on board an LST. In February of 1944, in Winterport, Maine, he was united in marriage to Mary Berish, a blessed union of over 39 years; she died in 1983. In 1985, he was united in marriage to Julie Page; she died in 1993. He later married Doris Grann on December 17, 1997, at St. Joseph's Church in Richfield Springs. Charles was employed with IBM as an accountant in Boca Raton, FL, retiring in 1986 after 42 years of dedicated service. He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish in West Winfield. He also enjoyed golfing and football; he was a big fan of the Miami Dolphins. He is survived by his wife, Doris Marsh, of West Winfield, and his children, David Marsh and his wife, Theresa, of Owego, NY, Richard Marsh and his wife, Beth, of Blue Bell, PA, Mary Katherine Bushey and her husband, William, of Perkiomenville, PA, Charles Marsh and his wife, Terry, of Raleigh, NC, and Patricia Di Stefano and her husband, Peter, of Plano, TX. He also leaves his stepchildren, Joni Eaton, of Greene, NY, Diane Dudney, of Nebraska, Ronald Smith, of Tucson, AZ, Barbara Smith, also of Tucson, AZ, and Daniel Smith and his wife, Joanne, of Scotia, NY; also 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He leaves two brothers, Howard Marsh and his wife, Dorothy, of West Winfield, and Earl Marsh, of Edgewater, FL, and a brother-in-law, Paul Berish, of Kingston, NY. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, David Marsh. The family wishes to offer a very heartfelt thank you to the many doctors and nurses who cared for Charles during his illness; your kindness and compassion will never be forgotten. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish in West Winfield, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Military Honors will be offered at the conclusion of the Funeral Mass. Interment will be in the Slovak Cemetery in Binghamton, NY, on Wednesday at 1:00 PM. There are no public calling hours. The family will receive visitors at the conclusion of the Funeral Mass in the Church Reception Hall. Irene M. Mead (nee: Best), 88, formerly of Glenville, passed away in the early morning hours of May 12, 2014 at Joan Nicole Prince Home in Scotia.Born in Albany, NY on May 8, 1926, she was the daughter of the late William and Irene Smith Best. A graduate of Scotia High School's class of '44 she graduated the Ellis Hospital School of Nursing Program in 1947. Irene was a nurse at the former Glenridge Hospital for 25 years until it closed in 1978. She later became evening supervisor at Glendale Home from 1978-1985.
She married Frank B. Mead on July 19, 1969. They were happily married until his passing in June, 1996. Irene was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Irene was predeceased by her grandson Zachary Ciperski and her brother George William Best.
Survivors include her three children: Kathleen Ciperski of Tampa, FL, Nancy Shultes (Richard) of Glenville and S.W. Crozier of Saratoga Springs, NY. Her brother, Edgar N. Best of Rancho Mirage, CA; grandchildren: Jill, Tiffany, Adam, Blake and Dorian. Several nieces and nephews make up the remaining Mead Family.
Services will begin Wednesday 9:15 AM from the Glenville Funeral Home, 9 Glenridge Rd. followed at 10 AM by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd. A calling hour will precede the service Wednesday from 8:15-9:00 AM at the funeral home.

Robert William Trombley, age 70, a resident of Church Street in Pownal, died on Sunday, June 11, at the Bennington Health and Rehabilitation Center, following a long illness. He was born in North Adams, MA. on March 30, 1947, and was the son of the late Robert W. and Shirley May (O’Brien) Trombley. He received his education in North Adams. Robert proudly served in the Navy as a Corpman with the Marines during the Viet Nam War, and is a Purple Heart recipient. He married the former Janice Blair on October 30, 1970. Robert for many years was a bus driver involved with child care. The Trombley’s moved to Pownal in 1983 and began a sewing business that is now operated by their daughter, Lisa. He was a former member of the Community Bible Church in Williamstown, MA and more recently of the North Pownal Congregational Church. He has taught Bible Studies, and lived his Christian faith. He was kind, compassionate gentleman. He was most happy spending time with his family, enjoying recreational outings: like family baseball games. He enjoyed playing chess and video games, and was in charge of the Trombley family ancestry.com website. Besides his wife, of Pownal and his daughter Lisa, also of Pownal, he is survived by one son Sean Trombley and his wife Joyce of Arlington, VT He leaves one sister, Lisa Varuzzo and her husband Mike of North Adams, MA and their son Andrew Varuzzo of Ithaca, NY. One brother John Trombley of San Antonio, TX and several nieces and nephews.. Robert is predeceased by one brother, Michael Trombley. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home, 628 Main St. Bennington, VT. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Pownal. There are no calling hours scheduled. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pownal Rescue Squad, Ladd Road in Pownal, VT 05261.

NORTH ADAMS Marguerite (Blanquart) St. Cyr, 81, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Berkshire Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in North Adams, MA on March 28, 1934, daughter of Henry and Irene (Beaudin) Blanquart. She attended the Notre Dame Parochial School and completed its commercial course. Marguerite was last employed as a school bus driver for JT Bus Lines and Dufour for over 25 years until her retirement. She also worked at Adams Supermarket and for Paul DiLego, CPA. She was a communicant of Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church where she assisted at its Bingo and bazaars. Marguerite enjoyed camping and was a member of NAFCA and its NoBeSoVe Mountaineers Chapter for many years. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and gardening and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was the widow of Ernest P. St. Cyr who died on December 27, 2011. They were married on June 8, 1955 in Notre Dame Church. Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Perry and her husband, Ted of Colchester, VT and two sons, Richard St. Cyr and his wife, Marcia of Fairdale, KY; and David St. Cyr and his wife, Donna of North Adams. She also leaves 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Blanquart and his girlfriend, MaryEllen Eliasen of North Adams; and nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Marguerite St. Cyr will be Monday, January 18, 2016 at 8:15a.m. from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St., North Adams followed by a Funeral Mass at 9a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Ernest Pierre St. Cyr 1932-2011 NORTH ADAMS Ernest Pierre St. Cyr, 79 of 20 Harrison Ave. North Adams, died Tuesday December 27, 2011 at North Adams Commons. He was born in North Adams, on June 29, 1932, son of Moise and Yvonne Delisle St. Cyr. He attended North Adams schools including Drury High School. Mr. St. Cyr was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the US Army. He was last employed as an electrician with Anderson Electric. Before that, he worked at Greylock Electric for many years. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Ernest was a member of NAFCA and a former president of his camping chapter. He was also a Boy Scout Leader with Boy Scout Troop #26 of Clarksburg. Ernest enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, playing cards and cribbage. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, the former Marguerite Blanquart, whom he married on June 18, 1955 in Notre Dame Church. One daughter; Michelle Perry and her husband, Ted of Colchester, Vt., two sons; Richard St. Cyr and his wife, Marcia of Fairdale, Ky., David St. Cyr, and his wife, Donna of North Adams, 12 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren. Two brothers; Lawrence St. Cyr of Lady Lake, Fla., and Albert St. Cyr of North Adams and two sisters- Lucille McLear of Adams and Annette Knickerbocker of Milford, Maine. A sister in law; Vonnie St. Cyr of Pittsfield. A brother in law; Paul Blanquart of North Adams; and nieces and nephews. A brother and a sister are deceased including Norman St. Cyr and Celia Barcomb.
