EAST BERNE, NEW YORK: Helen Rendo Crosier, 72, died February 21, 1993 at St. Peter's Hospital. She was born in Knox. She was the longtime owner of Helen's Star Market, and had moved to East Berne in 1948. She attended St. John's Lutheran Church, and was past secretary-treasurer of the East Berne Businessman's Association and a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a former member of the East Berne Fire Co. Ladies' Auxiliary. Survivors include two sons, John Crosier, Jr. and George F. Crosier, both of East Berne; a daughter, Madeline Magrew of Berne; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, John Crosier, Sr. Interment was at Memory's Garden in Colonie under the direction of Fredendall Funeral Home.

          Kenneth R. Rice, 88, of Charlemont, passed away preacefully at Baystate Medical Center on October 14.
          Kenneth was a US Marine WW II veteran.
          He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He always had a good story or joke for anyone that would listen to him.
          He leaves his loving wife Marie which they shared 65 years of marriage; daughter Susan Prothero (Gary); sons Peter Rice (Eileen), Joel Rice; 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
          A celebration of life service was held Saturday, Oct. 19, at Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home in Shelburne Falls.

Nancy J. Richardson Carr Obituary
          Nancy J. Carr (nee Richardson) died on March 16, 2012 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
          She was born on February 12, 1919 to Howard and Emily Richardson in Lorain, Ohio, and lived there until leaving to attend Denison University and Carnegie-Mellon University. She worked as an executive secretary for Oberlin University and the Falk Foundation. In 1953, she married Will Carr, and moved to Mentor-on-the-Lake, where her daughters Judith and Lisa were born. After the girls entered primary school Nancy trained for a second career as a primary school teacher, eventually teaching at Brentmoor School in Mentor, Ohio. After she and her husband retired they moved to Lake Mohawk in Malvern, Ohio, where they lived for 25 years. For the past 12 years she had resided at Stow-Glen Retirement Center in Stow, Ohio.
          Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and husband, and is survived by her brother, Bill Richardson; her daughters, Lisa Hesse and Judith Carr and their husbands; two grandsons, Kerry and Keith Martin; and four great-grandchildren.
          Nancy never lost her sweetness and ability to respond to others. She is now in heaven with Will, getting ready to go to a dance, and being trailed by her cats Bonnie, Baby and Willie.
          Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the chapel at Stow-Glen, Birch Hall, 4285 Kent Road, Stow, Ohio, on March 30 at 1 p.m., Pastor Kim Barnett officiating. Donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association , 70 West Streetsboro St., Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236.
          Many thanks to her caregivers at Stow-Glen and to her guardian angel, Attorney David Culbertson.

          Jun 15, 2004 Theon J. Rigby, age 77, our loved and respected husband, dad and grandpa, passed away June 12, 2004, in Bountiful, Utah. After eight strokes in nine years, each one taking its toll, Theon said, "I've had enough already! I'm giving up the fight and going home."
          Theon was born to Vern and Maude Rigby in the family home in Hooper, Utah. Theon married his high school sweetheart, Norma Christensen, in the Salt Lake Temple.
          Theon received great satisfaction working for the LDS Church for 39 years! He was proud to have served as Ward Clerk for three separate bishoprics.
          Our hearts are broken with the loss of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be remembered for his love of his family which was the light of his life.
          Theon is survived by his most cherished wife, Norma, and his children, Sandra (John) Siddoway, RoLayne (Mike) Sterzer, Deborah (Rick) Holt, David Rigby, Lori (Mark) Knighton and our 'adopted' daughter Teresa Scott. He is also survived by his sisters, Verlene (Duane) Russell, Gwen (Jerry) Allen, Janice (Ed) Ridges and by his brother, Hugh (Barbara) Rigby. Theon and Norma have a distinguished legacy of 19 grandkids and 16 great-grandkids.
          Viewing will be held Tuesday June 15, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E.
          Funeral services will be held 11 am Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at the Bountiful 31st Ward Chapel, 585 E. Center St. where friends may call 10:00--10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment Hooper City Cemetery, 5400 S. 6300 W.

          ATHOL - It is with great sadness that the family of Joanna Chastney (95) announces her passing on Sunday, May 8, 2016.
          Joanna (Rimsa) Chastney was born in Athol, the daughter of Frank and Anna (Seseika) Rimsa. Her husband, Felix predeceased her in 1963.
          She is survived by 5 children. She leaves daughters: Genevieve( and husband Robert) Ryder, Mashpee, Mass, Cecelia (and husband Leland) Sherman, Heath, Mass, Rosemary Chastney, Petaluma California, Phyllis (and husband Robert) Kory, Los Angeles California; Son: James Chastney, Duanesburg, NY; 8 grandchildren: Larry and Keith Sherman,Phillip Chastney, Paul Ryder, Aileen DiBenedetto, and Julianne Dowd, Kevin and Ryan Kory; 6 great grandchildren: Dakota and Noah Sherman,Allison and Thomas Ryder, Meghan, Liam, and Brendan Dowd, Nicholas DiBenedetto; Brothers: Benedict( and wife Jen) Rimsa
          John Rimsa, Peter Rimsa, Donald (and wife Nancy) Rimsa. She leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews, friends and extended family, too numerous to name but not forgotten.
          She was predeceased by her brother Frank, and her sisters Geneva Polchlopek, and Christine Moore.
          Joanna graduated from Athol High School in 1937 and worked in the office of Anson Shoe Co., Athol, Hubbard Shoe Co. of Rochester NH, then was the head of the billing department at the UTD for 25 years until retirement. She was a communicant of St. Francis Church, President of the Woman’s Guild for 6 terms, and a member of the Knights of Lithuania. She had a great love for flowers expressed in her beautiful gardens and in the imaginative flower arrangements she created for St. Francis Church. She was happiest digging and weeding in her rock garden, peony and rose beds, and did so until her health prevented her from this. When the children visited there was always a little garden job they could help with.
          Joanna was a gourmet cook at home, and in her younger days enjoyed backyard barbecues and meals with friends and her very large extended family. Her house was always filled with activity with her children and all their friends visiting and an invite to dinner was always there. She was famous for her doll cakes she made for all the family birthdays.
          She had a passion for opera, theater and music, and never missed an opportunity to attend a performance. She passed this love on to her siblings and her children.
          She loved to travel, and she did so visiting her siblings and children scattered across the US. She had a fondness for the ocean and Cape Cod, and never missed an opportunity for a lobster/clam/oyster dinner. Lobster dinner was a regular feast at her kitchen table with her family and friends.
          Joanna was proud of her Lithuanian heritage, and one of her greatest joys was being able to visit Lithuania, the birthplace of her parents. She was always known for her Lithuanian kielbasa and kapusta dinners, and the many beautiful babka breads she baked so frequently on the weekends.
          She was a loving, compassionate woman and her faith remained a strong force throughout her life.
          She will be greatly mssed by all her family and friends
          The family will receive friends on Friday, May 13 from 4-7 pm at the Fiske-­Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange.
          A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday May 14 at 11 am at St. Francis Church, 101 Main St., Athol.
          Memorial Contributions may be made to Sharing Our Father’s Bread, c/o Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St. Athol, MA 01331.

Dale's wishes were to have everyone hug their loved ones and to express the value they bring to your life.Family includes her husband of 47 years, Michael Velasquez; one son, Tom Velasquez; three daughters, Amy Swenson and her husband, Jim, Cheryl Taylor and her husband, Neil, and Paula Cyr and her husband, Rob; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Sonny Rink; and one sister, Gloria St. Jean; as well as nieces and nephews

          - Anna C. (Perry) Rink, 87, of Brookline died peacefully Friday April 25, 2003, at Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend.
          She was bom July 26, 1915, the daughter of Delard and Grace (Bush) Perry. She was a lifelong resident of Vermont. She was also known to be fond of animals.
          She was married Dec. 6, 1931, to Lester E. Rink Sr., who predeceased her.
          She was a former member of Rebeckahs, a member of the Baptist Church in Brookline, the order of the Eastern Star, a member of the Ladies Aid for many years, a former school board director, and a former president of the Grace Cottage Auxiliary. She worked for many years at Linden Gardens as a florist.
          Mrs. Rink is survived by a son, Lester “Sonny” E. Kink Jr.; two foster daughters, Gloria St. Jean and Dale Velasquez; a sister, Stella Dowley; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins
          Besides her husband, she was predeceased by three sisters.
          A private graveside service for Mrs. Rink will be held Tuesday, April 29, at the Riverside Cemetery in Brookline, at 11 a.m. There are no calling hours.
          In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Cottage Foundation, Townshend, VT 05353. Arrangements are under the care of the White Funeral Home, Route 30, Townshend.
