          Lillian Valida (Pierce) Senecal, 99 of North Adams, MA died Tuesday August 8, 2017 at her home.
          She was born in North Adams, MA on August 4, 1918, daughter of John and Valida (Tanguay) Pierce. She attended schools in Clarksburg and North Adams.
          Lillian was employed by Sprague Electric Co. for many years and also operated the snack bar at Valley Park Bowling Lanes for 20 years until her retirement in 2002.
          She was a communicant of the former St. Francis of Assisi Church and was a member of the Sprague Quarter Century Club. Lillian enjoyed trips to the casino and especially enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Lillian had wonderful caregivers especially Buffy Heideman who went above and beyond.
          Survivors include one daughter- Jacqueline Felix and her husband, Robert of North Adams. She also leaves six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Her son, Ronald Battis died November 7, 2015 and her great grandson, Kyle Crosier died June 7, 2015. Her sister Ellen Reyome is deceased and her brother John Pierce died in World War II.

          UFFOLK - Margaret Pittman Pursell Eggleston, 89, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010, at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk.
          She was born in Ivor to the late Ernest W. and Mabel Gertrude Williams Pittman. Margaret was retired from the Bank of Sussex and Surry; a member of the Wakefield United Methodist Church and a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy. Mrs. Eggleston was predeceased by her husbands, D'Arcy Paul Pursell, Sr. and Robert E. "Pete" Eggleston.
          She is survived by two daughters, Rosalyn Pursell Price of Christiansburg, Phyllis Pursell Fers; and a son, D'Arcy Paul Pursell Jr. both of Wakefield; four grandchildren, Karen S. Welch and husband, Hal, Adriane P. Sheppard, Donna S. Bassett and husband, Jay, Michael A. Price and wife, Theresa; five great-grandchildren, Jessica Knecht and Tanner Knecht, Virginia Bassett, James Sheppard and Emma Price; a sister, Gladys P. Beale; a sister-in-law, Frances Stamatas; and stepchildren, Michael T. Eggleston and wife, Helen of Wakefield, Patricia L. Allen of Big Arm, Montana, Robert "Bobby" Eggleston of Manteo, N.C., and Nancy Zych and husband, Ralph of Corrales, New Mexico and Andrew Eggleston and wife, Nancye Jo of Mount Juliet, Tennessee; and grandchildren, Wanda Ousaklidis, Michelle Bradford, Alex Eggleston, and Brian and Jeffrey Zych.
          Funeral services will be held in the sanctuary of Wakefield United Methodist Church in Wakefield on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Willie Guill and the Rev. Edward Owen officiating. Interment will follow in the Wakefield Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 3 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.
          Memorial donations may be made to the Wakefield United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 87, Wakefield, VA 23888 or to the Waverly Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 583, Waverly, VA 23890.
          Arrangements are being handled by the Purviance Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Wakefield.

She attended local schools and graduated from Drury High School where she was a baton twirler for the Drury Marching Band. Carolyn was last employed at Molly’s Bakery. Before that, she worked at Sprague Electric Co. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Carolyn enjoyed writing and had two stories published. She also enjoyed cross-word puzzles and genealogy. Survivors include two daughters- Denise Gibson of Lenox and Sheryl Gibson of North Adams Three sons- Stephen Gibson and Henry Gibson of Adams; and Allen Gibson of Waverly Hill, GA Twelve Grandchildren Eleven Great Grandchildren Two brothers- Raymond Aubin of North Adams; and Alfred Aubin of Malta, NY Four Sisters- Anita Lesure of Adams; Anne Mowe of Hoosac Tunnel; Jacqueline Dobbert of North Adams; and Jeanne Scrivens of Texas Nieces and nephews A daughter, Lorraine Poette is deceased and triplet grandchildren are also deceased including Allen, Noah, and Grace Gibson.

          Born in Adams, MA on June 11, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Blanche Zwiercan Poplaski.
          She was educated in Adams Schools and New Lebanon, NY Schools. She was a 1941 graduate of Dalton High School.
          She married Ernest Paradysz in 1942, who predeceased her in 1964. In 1971, she married Reno Catelotti, who predeceased her in 1981.
          Primarily a homemaker, she had worked as a police matron in the 1960s; at one time she worked at Sears Department Stores for 10 years.
          She also worked as a housekeeper at Kimball Farms and in the ladies department at Walmart.
          A communicant of St. Agnes Church, she enjoyed crocheting and knitting and having cookouts with her family and spending time with them.
          She is survived by her daughters, Jean Kut and husband Rudy of Hanson, MA, Lynn Paradysz of Concord, NH, and Carol Fallon and husband Dennis of Dalton, MA; two sons, Robert Paradysz and wife Terri of Hinsdale, MA, and Gregory Catelotti and wife Joellen of Peru, MA. Florence was predeceased by two infant children, Susan Paradysz and Richard Paradysz. She also leaves her sister, Miriam McClune of Pittsfield, three brothers, Donald Poplaski of Pittsfield, Larry Poplaski of Lake Havasu, AZ, and Eugene Poplaski and wife Jane of Greer, South Carolina; nine grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, two great-great-granchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
          She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Poplaski, and sisters Allene Ferrell and Priscilla Patterson.
          FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be held, FRIDAY, April 26, 2019 from 9:30am to 10:30am at DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME in DALTON. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at St. Agnes Church, celebrated by Most Rev. Timothy McDonnell. Burial will follow at Ashuelot Cemetery.           DALTON Fred T. Poplaski, 76, of North Street, Dalton, passed away peacefully at home on July 2, 2016 with his wife by his side. He was born in Cheshire on December 5, 1939, son of the late Leon T. and Adella A. Ostrobinski Poplaski. He was educated in Adams schools. Fred was employed at Crane and CO. for 40 years as a paper maker. Prior to that he worked at the Berkshire Hathaway Mill in Adams and also owned and operated his own Modular Home Company. Fred enjoyed NASCAR, working on and restoring cars, hiking, gardening and maintaining his yard and home, he was a jack of all trades. He loved his family, especially his children, grand- children and great-grandchildren. Fred believed in Jesus Christ as his savior and was a member of the Dalton United Methodist Church. He previously was a trustee in the Evangelical Free Church, that he and two of his sons helped to build. Fred is survived by his wife of 58 years the former Louise A. Brower, three sons; Edward T. Poplaski and his wife Lisa of Pittsfield, Michael J. Poplaski and his wife Sandy of Dalton and David I. Poplaski and his wife Renee of Lanesboro, two daughters; Sheila R. Hebert and her husband Rick of Lanesboro and Sharon J. Phelps of Virginia Beach, VA, eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren,, five sisters; Lillian A. Gajda and her husband Joseph of Poughkeepsie, NY, Joan A. Ackley of Lanesboro, Virginia Carrow of CT, Jane Asher of Adams and Janis Luczynski and her husband Michael of Adams, his brother-in-law who he thought of as his brother, Charlie L. Brower and many aunts , uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Fred was predeceased by his great-grandchild Logan White and his brother Donald L. Poplaski. FUNERAL NOTICE Funeral services for Fred T. Poplaski who died July 2, 2016 will be held MONDAY JULY 11, 2016 at 12p.m at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, with his brother-in-law Charlie L. Brower officiating.
