HALIFAX.
Little Lincoln B., seven months old, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan H. Jlones of West Halifax, died early Tuesday morning, Sept. -, after only a few hours illness with acute enteritis. The funeral was held at the home of the grandparents, Mr. nnd Mrs, Perley E. Crosier, Rev. W. R. Tinker Officiating. The burial took place in the Halifax cemetery. The sympathy of all goes out to the parents and grandparents in their sudden loss.

LOWINGTON, N.C. -- Russell Langdon Jones, 53, died on Wednesday, June 13, 2007, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Mr. Jones was born on April 19, 1954, the son of the late Clinton and Shirley (Walker) Jones.
He either liked you, or he didn't, nothing in-between. He worked for many, many years for Cersosimo Lumber Co. He also spent 10 years employed with Dunham Shoe Co. as a truck driver.
He then moved his loving wife Linda of 35 years to North Carolina in 1999 and became a serviceman for Synergy Gas Co. For the last two years, he worked for weeks at Sand Co., running heavy equipment and discovering one of the best friends a man could ever have.
Mr. Jones became a very active member of the Solid Rock United Methodist Church. He so loved his church he spent countless hours volunteering his time wherever he was needed.
Mr. Jones was a gentle bear.
Besides his wife, Linda (Robinson) Jones, he is survived by his children, Jenny and her husband Robert “Tiger” Robles and their two children Tye and Brook, Misty and her husband Matthew Hatfield and their two children Scott and Thomas, Billie Joe and her husband Corey Hudgins and their three children Justice, Kain and Raven; foster children, Mike Paul and Brianna; two sisters, Maryellen and her husband Arthur Rizzi and Connie and her husband Robert Chase; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
He was predeceased by his brother, Davey Jones.
A celebration of Mr. Jones' life will be held at Mama & Papa Z's on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Guilford Volunteer Fire Department

James Edward Kelly, 80, of Venice, formerly of North Adams and Marlborough, Mass., died Nov, 8, 2010.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time Thursday at Farley Funeral Home, Venice Chapel. Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sarasota National Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia.
Mr. Kelly is also survived by his daughters, Nancy (Kenji Yamamoto) Kelly of San Francisco and Kerry (Jim) DuBois of Huntsville, Ala.; a granddaughter, Ami DuBois of Huntsville; and a sister, Joan (Marshall) Crosier of North Adams.

WOLCOTT - Peter J. Knappe, 81, of East Main Street, Waterbury, formerly of Wolcott, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 15, 2012, with his loving family by his side at Saint Mary’s Hospital. He was the beloved and devoted husband of Mary (Grygorcewicz) Knappe.
Born in Pittsfield, Mass., on Nov. 14, 1930, he was the son of the late Peter and Anna (Poplaski) Knappe. He was employed by Tilcon Tomasso in New Britain for 24 years, retiring in 1995. Afterward he was employed at Lake Compounce and Lake Quassy Amusement Parks as “Captain Pete” who ran the “Mark Twain Boat” and was the railway conductor.
First and foremost, Peter was a devoted family man with lots of jokes under his belt. He was well known for his yodeling skills. He also had a boat that he pulled many a water skier around on Otis Reservoir. He and Mary enjoyed working at the snack bar and had many good times at the Woodbury Mountain Ski Area.
Besides his wife, Mary, of 59 years, Peter is survived by his three sons, Stanley and his wife Louise Knappe of Ludlow, Mass., Thomas and his wife Eileen of Wolcott, Peter A. and his wife Amy of Waterbury; two daughters, Mary Knappe of Canton, Conn., Susan and her husband David Lozier of Terryville; seven grandchildren, Kelly and her husband Douglas Thompson, Timothy Lozier and his wife Jill, Benjamin Dubiel, Ronnie, Noah and Aidan Knappe, Joey Murphy; and two great grandchildren, Andrew and Holly. He was also loved and will be missed by brothers and sisters-in-law and all of their families. He was predeceased by a son, Ronald Knappe.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Maria Goretti Church, 1300 Woodtick Road, Wolcott, followed by burial in Woodtick Cemetery. Calling hour is Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 690 Woodtick Road, Wolcott.
