          Mrs. Emma (Hubbard) Barber Obituary
          Mrs. Emma Barber, a former Wheelock resident, passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at the age of 94.
          She was born in Lyndon, Vermont on Nov. 7, 1919, the daughter of Fred A. and Sylvia (King) Hubbard. Her husband, Wendell Barber, predeceased her in 1978. And all three of her children also predeceased her: Richard Wendell Barber of Wheelock in 2012; Elaine Carol Lamb of Madison, Alabama in 2011; and Louise Ruth Berry of Punta Gorda, Florida last year. She was also predeceased by a grandson, Thomas Wayne Williamson, as an infant.
          In their younger years, the Barbers lived in Sheffield before they moved to Stoughton, Massachusetts. Upon her husband's passing, she returned to live in Wheelock and had her own ceramics studio. She resided at The Canterbury Inn for several years before entering The Pines 3-4 years ago.
          Emma was a member of the Lyndon Center Baptist Church and most recently attended church at the Union Baptist Church in Waterford.
          She is survived by a brother, Frank Hubbard and his wife Joan of St. Johnsbury; grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Emily Thresher (on the same date!) in 1987; and by two brothers, Charles D. Hubbard of Lunenburg and Calvin F. Hubbard of Lyndonville.
          Funeral services will be held at the Guibord Funeral Home in Lyndonville this Tuesday, July 22, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Paul Powers officiating. Burial will follow at the Lyndon Center Cemetery.

          Jackson, Walter H. DELMAR Walter "Jack" H. Jackson, age 90, of Delmar, passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015. Jack was born December 26, 1924, in Albany. His parents were Walter and Mabel (Moxley) Jackson. He was married for 68 years to Jane Massie Jackson. Jack attended Ravena Coeymans School District, Christian Brother's Academy and took classes at St. Rose College. He was employed by the New York State Department of Corrections where he retired as the superintendent of Camp Summit. Jack and Jane lived in West Hyannisport, Mass., for many years before returning to settle in Delmar to be near their family. He was an avid golfer and played regularly until he was 89. Jack served in the Army, in France during World War II, where he was wounded and later awarded the Purple Heart. Closest to Jack's heart was his family. He is survived by his wife, Jane Massie Jackson; brother, Richard (Willa) Jackson; children, Cathy (Charles) Jackson Sutton, Joanne (Richard) Jackson Crosier and Jill (John) Jackson Fuhrman. He is also survived by grandchildren, Adam, Bryan (Lisa) and Greg (Anna) Sutton, Amanda (Chris) Crosier-Riffle, Jenna, Tyler (Kelly), Tanner and Emma Crosier, Ian (Christina) Wallace. Great-grandchildren include Nicholas, Dylan and Austin Sutton. Predeceasing him are his brother, Willard Jackson and sisters, Ellen Jackson Engel, Lois Jackson Bamer and Joyce Jackson Cunningham. The family will be paying tribute to Jack on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Applebee Funeral Home, Delmar. Joan graduated from Westfield State College and went on to earn her Master's Degree in education and music from Hartt School of Music and the University of Hartford. Joan had taught music for 38 years, retiring from the Bloomfield Public School System, she was the first to start a show choir in the Bloomfield schools. She is survived by a nephew, Roger Haynes of Mesa, AZ; a cousin, Norma Landry of MA and her beloved dog "Charde". She was predeceased by a brother, Charles Jasmin and a sister, Charlotte Haynes.           HEBRON, N.Y. -- Pauline F. “Polly” Craig, 82, of Hebron passed away Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 25, 2007, at her residence with her loving family at her side. Polly was born June 24, 1925, in the home where she passed away, the daughter of the late John S. and Nellie Frances Crosier Jenkins. She was a 1942 graduate of Salem Washington Academy.
          Polly, along with her husband, was a Real Estate broker for over 30 years. She enjoyed catering and making her own homemade pickles and jams. Polly was a member of the East Hebron United Presbyterian Church for over 70 years where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and a member of its Ladies Aid Society. She was also a member of the Hebron Book Club, the East Hebron Grange and the Salem Area Women’s Club.
          She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Archibald R. “Arch” Craig; two daughters, Deborah Craig of Greenwich and Dorothea Casey and her husband George of Greenwich; a grandson of Greenwich; several nieces, nephews and their families. In addition to her parents, Polly was also predeceased by a brother, Harold Jenkins, a sister-in-law, Patricia Craig Parmeter.
          Calling hours for Polly will be held Friday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. at the McClellan Funeral Home, 19 East Broadway, Salem.
          Funeral services will be held on Friday evening, Sept. 28, 2007, at 7 p.m. at the East Hebron United Presbyterian Church, 6559 State Route 22, Hebron with the Rev. Lois Ann Wolff officiating. A calling hour will be held from 6 p.m. until the time of the service at the church.
          Interment will take place on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the East Hebron Cemetery

          Bovina Center, June 24. - Mrs. Marion Johnson Crosier, 79, died Friday at the home of her son in Upper Darby, Pa. Her funeral was held here Monday in the U. P. church of which she had been a lifelong member. The service was conducted by Rev. Wade Miller.
          Her husband, Alexander Crosier, was killed forty years ago while cutting wood on Mill Mountain. Several years later she left Bovina to live with her son, James, where she has been tenderly cared for. She is also survived by a daughter, Mrs. Howard Jackson, of Newark, N. J. She was laid to rest beside her husband in the village cemetery.
