Delt H. Crosier, 85, of Sissonville passed away October 1, 2009 at home after a long illness.
Delt was a Navy Veteran and retired from Appalachian Power Company with 41 years service. He attended Calvary Nazarene Church, and was a Christian. He was also a proud member of the NRA.
Preceded in death by: parents, Delt and Loutella Crosier; sister, Susan Cadle; brothers, Charles Crosier, and John Tyree; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Crosier.
Left to cherish his memory: loving wife of 59 years, Reba Crosier at home; children, Nancy Shuck and her husband, Bill, of Poca, Steven Crosier of Scott Depot, and Scott Crosier of Sissonville; brother, William Crosier and his wife, Emogene, of Dunbar; grandchildren, Robby Shuck, Tamra Runyon, Maria Crosier, Brandon Crosier, Samantha Dowdy, and Darrin Crosier; and great grandchildren, Bella Shuck, and Brody Runyon.
The Funeral Service will be 4pm Saturday, October 3 at Long and Fisher Funeral Home, Sissonville with Pastor Edison Hager officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will be 6-8pm Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be sent to HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. West, Charleston, WV 25312.

Donald A. Crosier of Lincoln passed away Sunday (12/21/03) in Lincoln at the age of 86. Being the third of five children, he was born May 15, 1917, to Jay and Ellen Crosier on their Platte County farm near St. Edward. Don was raised on the farm and graduated from St. Edward High School in 1935, where he served as state FFA treasurer from 1934 to 1935. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1941 and started teaching vocational agriculture in Sargent in January 1941. In March of 1941 he married Eleanor Plucknett and enjoyed 57 years together before she preceded him in death. Together, they have four children - three daughters and one son, all of whom are married. All four of his children are University of Nebraska graduates, three with master's degrees and one with an education specialized degree. He has 10 grandchildren; the eight oldest are college graduates, one is a senior in college and the youngest is in high school. Seven of his grandchildren are married, giving him four great-grandsons and five great-granddaughters.
Don taught for 2½ years in Sargent and two years in O'Neill. In June of 1945, he was drafted into U.S. Army counterintelligence in Germany as a master sergeant. He was discharged in August 1946 and once again taught vocational agriculture in Columbus, 1946-1951. He became a life insurance agent in Columbus, from 1952 to 1953, transferred to Chicago in 1954 as a training supervisor, transferred to Great Falls, Mont., in 1955 and back to Lincoln in the fall of 1956 where he was a trainer and agency manager and was a CLUinstructor until 1965. He was hired as associate director and public relations director of the Nebraska Petroleum Council and served from 1965 through 1985, then retired Jan. 1, 1986.
Don was a member of: Lions Club (1941-Jan. 1, 2000), past president in Columbus, past district governor in Lincoln; Toastmasters Club (1955-1967), past president; Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, Lincoln Alumni Chapter(1956-present), past chairman of the board, executive secretary (1958-1995), regional vice president, national chapter (1983-1987); charter member of NSAE (Nebraska Society of Association Executives), 1981-present; Lincoln chapter of S.C.O.R.E. (Service Corps of Retired Executives), past president, training director, treasurer (1997-1998); life member of Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, past member of Contact Club (membership), past legislative committee; member of First Presbyterian Church since 1956, past deacon, past elder, past trustee, past board of directors foundation (1977-1993), past vice chairman, member of Heritage Club, past chairman, member of Sand Dollar Mariners Club, past chaplain, substitute instructor of adult Bible class, vice president Mariners (1997); Lincoln Garden Club (1980-present), past president, owner and caretaker of indoor plants at First Presbyterian Church, Culler Junior High School, East High School, Saratoga Elementary School and Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity; Lincoln Iris Society, charter member, past treasurer; Lincoln Rose Society, vice president (1995); Lancaster County Extension Department, master gardener, telephone panel for Backyard Farmer, participant in Spring Affair and Fall Festival of Color (1986-present); organized with Mrs. Crosier the Society for the Chronologically Gifted (Retirees of the American Petroleum Institute), 1986- present as executive secretary-treasurer (organization meets annually at locations throughout the United States); member of Nebraska Statewide Arboretum; AARP (American Association of Retired Persons) past coordinator of Capitol City Task Force (1991-1993; 1995-1996), member of state legislative committee (1991-1995), chairman (1993-1994; 1994-1995), area management team (1993-1995); Nebraska Alumni Association; Nebraska Environmental Control Council, member of state board two years (appointed by Gov. Charles Thone); Legislative Conference Room, reception room for state senators and lobbyists, manager 1967-1985; Friendship Force Club of Lincoln, together with Mrs. Crosier lived with host families in England, Cuba, Germany, Japan, Portugal, Kenya, Costa Rica, Peru and Scandinavian countries, have hosted families from Germany, Japan, Africa, Russia and South Korea; Elks Lodge No. 80 since 1965; American Legion Post 3 since 1985; Lincoln Executive Club since 1986, vice president 1996, president Jan. 1, 1997, to July 1, 1997; class moderator of Writing Stories of Life, First Presbyterian Church and nursing homes (2000-present); Colonial Dance Club, past president; authored several books of anecdotes about his life and times.

He was preceded in death by: wife, Eleanor; one granddaughter.

CROSIER, Maxine of Saginaw, Michigan. Passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at St. Mary’s of Michigan. Age 69 years. Maxine was born on June 18, 1940, in Charleston, South Carolina, to the late Edmond and Maxine Barry. She married Joseph Crosier on July 27, 1976; he survives her. Maxine was dedicated and loyal social worker for the State of Michigan, retiring after many years of service. She had a love and passion for sewing and cooking, especially for her beloved family. Surviving besides her husband, Joseph; are her children: Arthur (Tammy) Trahan, and Judy Alcantara; four stepdaughters: Jean (Bill) Sheppard, Sharon Crosier, Saundra Crosier, and Marjorie Crosier; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters and a brother: Edmond Barry, Benita Howel, Joyce Cleveland, and Peggy Horton. Following Maxine’s wishes cremation has taken place. FUNERAL: A Memorial Service honoring Maxine will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State). Pastor Paul R. James Forbes Graham passed away May 27, 2001 at his home at Carewest Sarcee in Calgary at the age of 88 years.
Jim was born March 25, 1913 in Cahir, Tipperary, Ireland, the third child of George and Maude Johanna Graham. He moved to Edmonton in 1927 with his family. In 1939 he married Maxine Adele Crozier in Edmonton. Jim joined the Air Force in 1943. After completing his service with the Air Force, he joined Imperial Oil Limited for a successful thirty-three year career.
Jim loved hunting, fishing and travelling in the great outdoors. For his excellent wildlife conservation work in the Okotoks area with the Okotoks Fish and Game Association, Jim Graham Provincial Park was named in his honour.
A wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Jim is survived by his three children, Pat Zorn (Carl), Jim Graham Jr. (Brenda), and Colleen Thurgood (Brian); his sister Betty Robinson (Harry); his grandchildren, Randy Zorn (Vicki), Michael Zorn (Helen), Laura Ashmore, Trish Truant (Dean), Michelle Goemans (Eric), Scott Graham (Amy) and Andrea and Elise Thurgood, and his great-grandchildren, David, Nathan, Rene’ Zorn and Maxx Truant. Jim was predeceased by his loving wife Maxine.
Jim was a very social person and always loved people around him.
Funeral services will be held at McInnis & Holloway’s 'Park Memorial Chapel', (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, May 30, 2001 at 1:00 pm.

Leonard Treleaven, beloved husband of Joyce Treleaven, passed away peacefully at the Chinook Care Centre, Calgary on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the age of 90 years. Len was born and raised in Eston, SK, later graduating from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Engineering. Joyce and Len were married in Brockville, ON in July 1943 after which Len served overseas in World War II with the Canadian Armed Forces, R.C.E.M.E. Following the war, Joyce and Len moved to Calgary where Len worked for the Alberta Wheat Pool for 39 years, retiring as Manager of Engineering, Construction and Maintenance. Len was a life member of A.P.E.G.G.A. and a long-time member of the Glencoe Club and Glencoe Golf and Country Club, where he was an avid bowler, curler and golfer. Joyce and Len spent many winters together in California where they enjoyed golfing with their friends. Len demonstrated the deepest sense of integrity, honesty and fairness to all who knew him. A loving family man, he will be sadly missed. In addition to his loving wife Joyce, Len is survived by daughters Joan (Doug) Biles, Donna (Michael) Crozier, son John (Anne) Treleaven; nine grandchildren Sandy (Pat) Twa, Leslie (Robert) Biles, John (Mary Lee) Biles, Barry Crozier, Kerry (Trevor) Crozier, Bryan (Ashley) Crozier, Stacy (Sean) Rivalin, Shawn Treleaven and Julie Treleaven, as well as four great-grandchildren, Abigail, Victoria, Emily and Adelaide. At Len's request, a family celebration of his life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to thank the staff of Chinook Care Centre for their kind assistance and compassion in Dad's final days. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com . ENGLEWOOD, FL- Frances Elizabeth Sprague, 87, formerly of Readsboro, VT, and currently residing in Englewood, died peacefully on Thursday, October 29, at the Englewood Community Hospital.
Mrs. Sprague, daughter of Harold S. and Frankie Ella (Berard) Tower, was born on May 9, 1928, in North Adams, MA. She attended Readsboro Elementary School and Whitingham High School. On December 13, 1947, she married Randolph Comai, and together they had four children. After his death in 1965, she married Preston Sprague and welcomed his four children into her family. Together, she and Preston had two children. She was predeceased by Preston on January 2, 2015.
Mrs. Sprague worked as a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of the Readsboro Community Club, the Legion Auxiliary, and the St. Joachim Parish in Reasboro. VT, Mrs. Sprague took pride in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and was a friend to many. She will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Sprague is survived by her children, Michael and wife Jackie Comai, of Bennington, VT; Geraldine and husband Willis Smith, of Englewood; Melanie and husband Alan Edwards, of Englewood; Marcia and husband Rodney Bisson, of Salem, NY; Nicki Sprague and Mark Carlson, of Readsboro, VT; Dean and wife Deborah Sprague, of Bodoin, ME; Stephen and wife Maryanne Sprague, of Bath, ME; Marsha and husband Rodney Morgan, of Canada; Jody and husband Kenny Parsons, of Wilmington, VT; and Diedra and husband Scott Moore, of Wilmington, VT: grandchildren, Jennifer Lazelle, Jessica Bird, Randall Smith, Allison Labor, Ashley Leonard, Jeremy Lemaire, Corie Lee, Mackenzie Lee, Taylor Lafo, Kerri Hanscom, Tedd Sprague, Linda Beck, Adam Collins, B.J. Collins, Matthew Collins, Jason Parsons, Julie Sullivan, Jessie Carrier, Tyler Moore, Sara Pratt; 29 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held December 6, at 1 pm, at St. Joachim Church, Readsboro, VT, and burial will be held at the Readsboro Village Cemetery at a future date. Memorial donations may be made in Frances’ name to the Alzheimer’s Association or Tidewell Hospice of Englewood.
