Tribute: Orval Dean Crosier was born in Basin, Big Horn County, Wyo., to Marion Orval and Hazel Dean (Patterson) Crosier. In 1944, he graduated from Basin High School. In April 1944, he entered the Navy and served as a radioman aboard PV Ventura, a twin-engine torpedo bomber, patrolling the Aleutian Islands between Alaska and Russia.
In 1951, Mr. Crosier graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelor's degree in physical education. In 1957, he earned his master's degree in education administration from Colorado State College, now the University of Northern Colorado.
On July 27, 1950, he married Margaret Ann Ruff in Driggs, Idaho. She died in 1989.
Mr. Crosier started his teaching career in Gilcrest in 1951 as a math teacher and coach. In 1958, he and his family moved to Riddle, Ore., where he continued to teach and coach until 1963.
In 1965, Mr. Crosier became principal of Valley High School, a position he held for 18 years. He became principal of Burlington High School in 1984 and retired in 1991.
He was a member of the Gilcrest Lions Club and the Elks Club and served as Gilcrest mayor. He was a member of the Gilcrest Baptist Church.
Mr. Crosier died of lung cancer at the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado inpatient unit, Greeley.
Survivors: His son and wife, Brian and Joann of Kersey; his daughter and her husband, Krisstie and Tony Kondrotis of Ashburn, Va.; four grandchildren, Daniel Crosier of Aurora, Kendra Crosier of Las Vegas, Kari Armitage and her husband Nick of Thornton and Kacie Kondrotis of Ashburn.
Preceded in death by: His wife; his parents; his brother, Robert Vern; and his sister, Esther May.
Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Stoddard Funeral Home, 3205 W. 28th St., Greeley. The Rev. Mike Williams will officiate.
Interment: Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3400 28th St., Greeley.
Visitation: 3-8 p.m. Thursday and noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The marriage of MissTheresaM.Rybicki and Andrew E. Crosier took place at 11 a.m. Saturday In St. Paul's catholic -Church in Wilmington, Del. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Paul J. Taggart officiated at the ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the VFW Post on Brandywlne Boulevard. The bride Is the daughter of Mrs. Rita Ryblckl and the late Joseph K. Rybicki. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray L. Crosier of North Bennington. Escorted by her uncle, John J. Hogan, the bride wore a full- length gown of Alencon lace and a crown of pearls and crystals held her illusion veil. She carried a cascade of white roses and stephanotis centered with a white orchid. Mrs. Dennis Aamoth of New Brighton, Minn., sister of the bride, was matron of honor. She wore a full-length light blue empire sheath with overskirt and a matching headpiece. She carried a bouquet of pink roses surrounded by blue carnations and white snapdragons. Best man was Joseph K. Rybicki, brother of the bride. Raymond Simpson served as usher. The bride is a graduate of St. Elizabeth's High School and is employed by the U.S. Court of Appeals. The bridegroom Is a graduate of North Bennington High School and is employed by the Fuller Brush Co. in Wilmington. Following a wedding trip to Canada, the couple will live in Elsmere in Wilmington, Del.

MRS. DORIS MILDRED (SANFORD) ANTHONY, 103 of 71 Champagne Ave. Williamstown, MA died Tuesday January 6, 2015 at Williamstown Commons. She was born in Stamford, VT on June 8, 1911, daughter of Albert "Bert" and Edith (Bishop) Sanford. She attended schools in Stamford and graduated from the Drury High School with the class of 1929. She also attended the Bliss Business College and the North Adams School of Nursing. She worked for 35 years as a private secretary in the purchasing offices of Sprague Electric and James Hunter Machine Co. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was very active in church work serving as president of the Women's Fellowship for many years. She also was a member of the Berkshire Baptist Association Executive Committee for many years. Doris was a 77 year member of the choir and sang in several choral groups in the area, and was the Church Clerk for 27 years. Doris also served as pianist and organist in several churches and fraternal organizations. Doris was a 90 year Grange member and for the past 2 years was recognized by the Vermont Grange and National Grange for her volunteer efforts. She was a member and past master of the former Stamford Valley Grange. She was a member of the Williamstown Grange, and associate member of the Bennington Grange, a member of the Friendship Pomona Grange, and the National Grange. Her first husband was Arthur H. Daniels who died on November 1, 1965. They were married on October 1, 1955. Her second husband was Merton S. Anthony who died on May 8, 1988. They were married on October 15, 1967. She leaves her cousins, Betty Bolognani and Eunice Crowell of Readsboro, VT.

Charlotte Scace Vosburgh, 90, Formerly of Jason Street, Pittsfield, and Florida, passed away at Berkshire Place on January 2, 2016. Born October 22, 1925 in Pittsfield, MA, she was the daughter of George and Lila Almstead Scace. She attended local schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1943, after graduation she attended Berkshire Business College for two years graduating in 1967. Charlotte began working at West Side Community School, where she went on to work 17 years as an assistant teacher. She was also a professional soloist. Charlotte was a long time member of the First Baptist Church on South Street in Pittsfield, MA holding different positions at the Church. She loved singing, square dancing, knitting, crocheting, winter sports, and field hockey in High School, crafts and sewing. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Vosburgh whom she married April 6, 1947, he passed away in 1993. Survivors include son, K. Alan Vosburgh of Dalton, MA, a daughter, Charlene L. Price and husband, John W. Price Jr., East Wareham, MA, three grandsons, Kenneth Vosburgh and Erica his wife, John Price, and Jason Price and wife, Lynsey and one great-grandson, Jerod Price. And also survived by a brother, Raymond Scace of Pittsfield, MA. She was predeceased by her brother, George S. Scace and sister, Edith S. Rice. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 11a.m. at the First Baptist Church South Street Pittsfield, MA with the Rev Sheila Sholes - Ross, pastor, officiating, burial will follow in the Pittsfield Cemetery. WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - James Alan Witherell Sr., 69, of 88 Nutmeg Lane died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield after being stricken at work. Mr. Witherell was a bus driver for Dufour Inc.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 9, 1939, son of James Arthur Witherell and Ethel Davis Witherell Parrott, he attended schools in North Adams and graduated from Drury High School. He also attended Berkshire Community College, studying criminal justice.
He was an Army veteran.
Mr. Witherell was a lieutenant in the security department at the former General Electric Co., retiring in 1993. He first drove trucks for Spencer Mobile Home Co. on the Mohawk Trail and for Old Colony Trucking Co. in Lee after leaving the service.
He loved camping and was a member of the Good Sam Club. He was also a member of the North Adams Elks and was a longtime member of the Berkshire County Deputy Sheriffs Association. Mr. Witherell was an organ and tissue donor.
He and his wife, the former Ruth Scace, were married April 14, 1962, in Pownal, Vt.
Besides his wife, he leaves three sons, James A. Witherell Jr. of Pittsfield, Eugene Witherell of Williamstown and Kent Witherell of Tallasee, Ala.; a daughter, Kathryn Witherell of Pittsfield; three brothers, Robert Witherell of Adam, Richard Witherell of Dalton and David Witherell of Williamstown, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Another son, Keith Allyn Witherell, died in 2002.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mr. Witherell will be conducted Monday, Aug. 3, at 11 from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, by the with Rev. Susan Stewart.
Calling hours will be Monday morning from 9 until the service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247.
