From: http://www.obitcentral.com Mr. Lawrence W. "Larry" Crosier, 85, of Palatine Bridge, died Tuesday (February 8, 2000) at home. He was born on June 5, 1914 in Salem, Washington County, the son of Raymond S. and Emma Mae Walsh Crosier. Mr. Crosier was educated in Hebron and Granville schools. He was employed at Fort Plain Agway until he retired in 1976. He was a farmer in Washington County at one time. Mr. Crosier was a member of St. John's Reformed Church, St. Johnsville, and the St. Johnsville Seniors. Survivors include his wife, the former Jane E. Crosier, whom he married on Sept. 11, 1942; four sons, James Crosier of Fort Plain, Gerald Crosier of Amsterdam, Timothy Crosier of St. Johnsville, and Thomas Crosier of Johnstown; two daughters, Betsy Casey and Linda McConnell, both of Rochester; one brother, Joseph Crosier of Greenwich, Washington County; two sisters, Mildred West of Saratoga and Marjorie Damiata of Middletown, Conn.; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one son, Leonard Crosier; one brother, Harold Crosier; and two sisters, Thelma LaFountain and Carolyn Bodenstab. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Smith-Woody and Enea Funeral Home, 9 Center St., St. Johnsville. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Reformed Church, West Main Street, St. Johnsville. The Rev. Russell Camp, pastor, will officiate. Spring burial will take place in West St. Johnsville Cemetery. |

Born in North Adams on Aug. 12, 1929, son of William E. Lesure Sr. and Alice Kegresse Lesure, he was a 1949 graduate of Drury High School. He also had resided at 168 Howland Ave., Adams, for many years. He had served with Company K, Massachusetts National Guard. Mr. Lesure was employed by the former Adams Super Market in Adams for 28 years, and then by its successor, Big Y Supermarket, until his retirement in 1992. A golfer, he was a member of the Stamford (Vt.) Valley Golf Club and the Northern Berkshire YMCA. As a young man, he was a member of Boy Scout Troop 5 at the YMCA and attained the rank of Eagle Scout. He later was a Scout leader. He and his wife, the former Joan Lorraine Crosier, were married Aug. 11, 1951, at Notre Dame Church in North Adams. The couple spent winters in Bronson, Fla. Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters, Debra J. Kuzia and her fiance, Jack Alexander, of the town of Florida, Judith L. Taylor and her husband, Marshall, of Adams, Gail M. Lesure and her partner, Erin Forbush, of North Adams and Barbara A. O'Neil and her husband, Daniel, of Clarksburg; a son, Kevin S. Lesure and his wife, Jessica, of Adams; two brothers, John E. Lesure of Williston, Fla., and Richard P. Lesure of Adams; 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A son, David B. Lesure, died in 1977 and a brother, William E. Lesure Jr., in 2003. FUNERAL NOTICE â€" Calling hours for Mr.Lesure will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams.
