(Brattleboro, Vt.) , December 29, 1916 Brattleboro Woman In Crosier House at Time Blaze Broke Out. Damage of about $500 was caused by a fire in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Crosier in Readsboro, Vt., Mon day night. Mr. and Mrs. Crosier had spent the day at Sherman's, two miles away, Mrs. Crosier remaining there for the night. Mr. Crosier went home and built a Fire in the living room stove, and then went to the moving pictures. Some time later, Philip Barro, in passing, saw flames through the window and turned in an alarm. Owing to the fact that Mr. Crosier had closed all doors leading to the living room, the fire was confined to that room in which every thing was destroyed. The loss is covered by insurance. Mr. and Mrs. Reed, parents of Mrs. Walter Sturges of Brattloboro, live in an apartment in the Crosier house, and Mrs. Sturges was with them for a holiday visit at the time the fire broke out. |
